Hello all,
I was wondering, after seeing Peter Garrett leading the band Midnight Oil at a big fundraising concert for Australia's bushfire victims .... how many countries are there where ex-band members have become part of the ruling government of their country?
Peter Garrett is
the Australian Environment Minister in the Government formed by Kevin Rudd.
Has this happened anywhere else?

Greetings Chris,
Ever heard of Cicciolina?

Metta,
Retro.

If you have asked me of the origination of unease, then I shall explain it to you in accordance with my understanding:
Whatever various forms of unease there are in the world, They originate founded in encumbering accumulation. (Pārāyanavagga)'We should not congratulate someone on the success of their misdeeds, but on the contrary should endeavour to advise him or her to lead a more skilful and wholesome life. If such advice is ignored then we can only give up and let go' - Phra PanyapatipoDharma Wheel (Mahayana / Vajrayana forum)

No pop hits that I recall but I think he composed some music for at least one movie soundtrack.
