There is no way you can reach Nibbana by using a fork.
Obviously, a spoon is the only true path to liberation!

Nothing wrong with forks and knives. I don't recall any Vinaya prohibition on monks and nuns using eating utensils. It was the custom in India (and also Sri Lanka) to eat with your hands without utensils, but that was just a cultural thing, nothing required. As Buddhism spread to other countries chop sticks and other utensils were used.

Forks and knives could only be bad if you use them to stab someone.

Although committing murder with a fork would require quite a bit of adhiṭṭhāna =]
Gain and loss, status and disgrace,
censure and praise, pleasure and pain:
these conditions among human beings are inconstant,
impermanent, subject to change.

Knowing this, the wise person, mindful,
ponders these changing conditions.
Desirable things don’t charm the mind,
undesirable ones bring no resistance.

His welcoming and rebelling are scattered,
gone to their end,
do not exist.
