broken legs

is it common that one breaks something (or injure) in body before enligthenment?
i was thinking of book: The ultimate colmn by webu sayadaw

I don't recall reading anything in which somebody talks about injury as necessary to enlightenment...

Pain might be an important step, but injury I think not.

If you mean can an arahant still get an injury (after enlightenment), then the answer is yes. A boulder injured the Buddha (from Devadatta). Moggallana was murdered due to the ripening of some past kamma even though he was an arahant and one of the chief disciples of the Buddha.

But it is best not to speculate on the results or workings of kamma.

okay, i read somewhere that for some it is little pain all the way for others none pain but in the end pain.
the pain is equally much for both i thinking..

So Buddha was feeling that he was murdered too but in another way?
