It's unfortunate to see the lop-sided portrayal of the events.

“We wish to reaffirm to the world and to support you in practicing the most fundamental Buddhist principles of non-harming, mutual respect and compassion.”

Indeed Myanmar Buddhists are very compassionate.

Rakhine atuhorities are currently conducting census which will help to solve the problem:
