Ajahn Chah audio talks

Postby jackson » Sun Feb 17, 2013 5:31 am

Hi everyone,
I recently stumbled upon Ajahn Amaro's readings of all of Ajahn Chah's talks which have been translated into english and thought some of you might be interested. Ajahn Amaro does a wonderful job of bringing the translations to life and I think I may actually prefer listening to them over reading them. Anyway, they can be found here: http://www.amaravati.org/teachings/audio_compilation/1962 and also on iTunes, just search "Ajahn Chah Amaravati" and look under podcasts.
Best wishes, :anjali:

Thanks for sharing Jackson. I enjoy sitting on my meditation mat, closing my eyes and letting the wisdom of Ajahn Chahs words flow through me. Listening to Amaro voice these words It almost feels as if im sitting in front of and listening to the great meditation master himself.

I often prefer listening to reading. And it's also nice to listen to Ajahn Chah himself. There are a number of talks here with translation:

Hi, thanks for responding. I imagine you two have probably already seen this, but for anyone interested in seeing video of Ajahn Chah I highly recommend checking out this Youtube footage.
phpBB [video]

Also Ajahn Amaro's readings of Ajahn Chah's teachings are on Youtube as well, just search Ajahn Chah and they should come up.

Thank you Mike. That is a really good resource for Thai study.

Yes, that's true. I imagine in those talks where someone is translating he probably uses standard Thai, rather than Isaan...
