Beautiful :)

The topic on self and Nirvāṇa is very confusing and has been greatly modified by the media, I my self am only starting to grasp its true meaning.

Don't forget that each of the terms is in this context: The destruction of greed, hatred, and delusion is Nibbana; the destruction of greed, hatred and delusion is tamed, the destruction of greed, hatred, and delusion is ....

Nirvana, at least in sanscrit can mean any of the following and probably/possibly more:

I particulalay like the ones I have highlighted!

In my opinion it has nothing to do with the anihalation of self.

I wish somebody would tell wikipedia that! I think the thought that you just disapear depresses a lot of people, even some monks! (I think possibly) I don't believe 'you' do just simply disapaear just the ilusiuon that seperates 'you' from other

Hi Pedro,
Maybe it is the best for you to just practice for the attainment of jhanas and to delight in jhanic bliss rather than thinking too much about nirvana right now. Once you are at a point of experince where you have gained some insights you are still able to revaluate your views if necessary.
