Buddhism and Addiction

Postby bradford » Tue May 21, 2013 3:34 am

Hi all-
Some time ago I posted an announcement of an upcoming book entitled
Craving and Aversion as Addiction and Denial: Buddha's Eightfold Path as a Step Program
This is just to announce that the book is now online, and free to read and download.
http://www.hermetica.info/Buddha1b.htm
It turned out to be a fairly comprehensive survey of Theravada doctrine as well,
although only from one perspective, stripped of much of the glamor and mixed in
with some cognitive psychology and neuroscience.
It also has a stronger than usual critique of the 12-step programs
Hope somebody finds it useful.

I do find this useful. Thank you for your work. :anjali:

Do I have your permission to repost the link?

Having thus identified self and others,
harm no one nor have them harmed.

Yes, it's OK to share the link, just not to distribute the file.
That's so I can keep the current version out there.
