joy of seeing others realizing the path

"Saba Danam , Dhamma Danam Janati "

These words spoken by all the Buddhas are so ripe and intense with meaning . Am reminded reading somewhere, that when the Sangha was first formed by Lord Gautama The Buddha , and among the five , the first one to realize was the Venerable Kondana , Lord Buddha uttered " Kondana has understood , Kondana has understood , Kondana has understood ."

It is very humbling to see so many in this forum , who are living these words in both letter and spirit.

May i get established in Sila, Samadhi and Panna , living a life full of virtue and good will. A virtuous life , lived with humility and awareness is most nourishing and rewarding.

Am grateful to everyone .

The Path of Dhamma

The path of Dhamma is no picnic . It is a strenuous march steeply up the hill . If all the comrades desert you , Walk alone ! Walk alone ! with all the Thrill !!

“No lists of things to be done. The day providential to itself. The hour. There is no later. This is later. All things of grace and beauty such that one holds them to one's heart have a common provenance in pain. Their birth in grief and ashes.”
- Cormac McCarthy, The Road

Learn this from the waters:
in mountain clefts and chasms,
loud gush the streamlets,
but great rivers flow silently.
- Sutta Nipata 3.725
