Reflecting on one's positive qualities

Postby Nibbida » Sat Oct 12, 2013 4:03 pm

I've heard vipassana teachers sometimes recommend reflecting on one's own positive qualities as a way to support one's practice. Are there any references to this strategy in the Pali canon or commentaries?

Thank you.

Sure,

See, for example, this Recollections index: http://www.accesstoinsight.org/index-su ... ollections
Specifically, Recollection of one's own generosity (caganussati): AN 11.12, AN 11.13
