Most of my Dhamma books are from BPS, Wisdom, or one of the free publishers. I'd say PTS is an important publisher, but it's a little expensive to have personal copies of all of their Tipitka and Commentary output...
So for me the three important publishers that sell stuff are PTS, BPS, and Wisdom.
Note that all of the them are non-profit.

Greetings,
Not a publisher, but an organisation that sells a wide range of Theravada books... many not from the traditional publishers.
http://www.buddhistcc.net/bookshop/index.aspMetta,
Retro.

If you have asked me of the origination of unease, then I shall explain it to you in accordance with my understanding:
Whatever various forms of unease there are in the world, They originate founded in encumbering accumulation. (Pārāyanavagga)'We should not congratulate someone on the success of their misdeeds, but on the contrary should endeavour to advise him or her to lead a more skilful and wholesome life. If such advice is ignored then we can only give up and let go' - Phra PanyapatipoDharma Wheel (Mahayana / Vajrayana forum)

some of their stuff is available online for free (legally) so it would always be worth having a scout around.
This offering maybe right, or wrong, but it is one, the other, both, or neither!
