This True story made me cry :(

[Attachment] This story made me cry :(

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hachi:_A_Dog%27s_Tale

Its such a wonderful ..beautiful..lovely..touching movie...starring Richard Gere a buddhist himself :)

Damn ..it's a true story as well :)

I cried a lot watching this movie :)

It makes us think about many things!like the dogs faithfulness!

But for me it was attachment

Attachment of the Dog towards its master and waiting for him faithfully for almost a decade everyday!!!!

Even humans would give up...but until its own death it waited for him..almost makes me cry even when i type this! thinking about it ...

It is there to teach us something spiritually strong...isn't it???

Yes it's a very touching story...
My cats give me a lesson on anicca, anatta and dukkha on a daily basis...
Bhikkhus, if you develop and make much this one thing,
it invariably leads to weariness, cessation, appeasement, realization and extinction.
What is it? It is recollecting the Enlightened One.
If this single thing is recollected and made much,
it invariably leads to weariness, cessation, appeasement, realization and extinction.

I saw the movie a few weeks ago. It's very tuching. Very beautiful.
He turns his mind away from those phenomena, and having done so, inclines his mind to the property of deathlessness: 'This is peace, this is exquisite — the resolution of all fabrications; the relinquishment of all acquisitions; the ending of craving; dispassion; cessation; Unbinding.'
(Jhana Sutta - Thanissaro Bhikkhu translation)

Netflixed!
In reading the scriptures, there are two kinds of mistakes:
One mistake is to cling to the literal text and miss the inner principles.
The second mistake is to recognize the principles but not apply them to your own mind, so that you waste time and just make them into causes of entanglement.

This is suffering.
The origin of suffering is attachment.
And what is right speech? Abstaining from lying, from divisive speech, from abusive speech, & from idle chatter: This is called right speech.

I just watched this. What a fantastic movie.
