Theravāda in the 21st century - modern applications of ancient wisdom

Been re-reading Analyo's book. It's fascinating. I've learned so much.
I wonder if you can help me by adding your understanding of how bare attention is applied in everyday life.
I start by trying not to get upset when people say things I don't like.

Mindfulness is nonconceptual awareness. Another English term for Satiis 'bare attention'. It is not thinking. It does not get involved with thought or concepts. It does not get hung up on ideas or opinions or memories. It just looks. Mindfulness registers experiences, but it does not compare them. It does not label them or categorize them. It just observes everything as if it was occurring for the first time. It is not analysis which is based on reflection and memory. It is, rather, the direct and immediate experiencing of whatever is happening, without the medium of thought. It comes before thought in the perceptual process.
This is how I apply "bare attention".

Looks good. I have a very simple approach of just observing whatever arises. I need things to be simple.

What is Analyo's book? I search for "Analyo" here, but no hits arise.

There is a missing 'a', it is Analayo.
I believe it is his book on the Satipatthana Sutta. Great book, learned heaps from it!
Here's a thread about the book:

Hi,
Seen from the viewpoint of the ordinary pursuits of life, it does not seem so. From that angle mindfulness, or attention, has a rather modest place among many other seemingly more important mental faculties serving the purpose of variegated wish-fulfillment.
