Ven. Bhikkhu Bodhi's 10,000 Steps Fundraising

Postby andrewuk » Sat Sep 18, 2010 11:57 am

Hello everyone,

I've just read through the Buddhist Global Relief that Ven Bodhi is leading a walk to raise fund for the charity to combat hunger.

I hope more and more people will sponsor this good cause.

Thanks!

Andrew

We at Buddhist Global Relief (BGR) are fortunate to work in unison under the leadership of Ven. Bhikkhu Bodhi (Bhante).

Soon we'll walk together as well -- demonstrating our solidarity with the hungry and affirming our commitment to ending global poverty.

Anyone who has walked with Bhante knows it is hard to keep up with his pace. The same goes for trying to keep step with his tireless effort and compassion that he puts into the task of alleviating chronic hunger and malnutrition. We urge you to get behind Bhante with us and sponsor his 10,000 steps to help feed the hungry!

By sponsoring Bhante’s steps you will be supporting vital relief projects such as critical rice support to girl students and their families in Cambodia, first-time water supply to a poor village in Sri Lanka, emergency food relief to families in KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa -- just to name a few.

Thank you so much for your support -- and please don't forget to forward this to anyone who you think might also want to sponsor Bhikkhu Bodhi’s 10,000 Steps!
