What are your favorite places in thailand/ things to do/ meditation centers &monasteries?

Well I live in Surat Thani, so I have to say its my favourite place :)

Not too commercial, clean and lots of sea and rivers to explore.

Wat Suan Mokkhaphalaram is not far away and the late Buddhadasa Bhikkhu who founded it was a great teacher.

Hello Rot,

I love all the tourist sites in Bangkok, and just normal life in Bangkok, shopping, wandering about, attending dhamma discussions, visiting friends.

But one place stands out in my mind from the usual temple tours:
Ayutthaya - Thailand's first capital
