english translations

are the PTS books the only english translations of the abhidhamma available?

i'd really like to start reading the actual texts and not just commentaries.

As far as I know the PTS is the only English translation. They have all 7 books except the Yamaka which I have heard is mostly a repetition of what is in the other books.

Be prepared for lots of lists and analyses! It reads like an advanced theoretical psychology or physics book, but still good.

I believe that the Patthana was partially translated: only the Tikapatthana, not the Dukapatthana.

There's a non-PTS translation of the Dhammasangani by a Burmese. I forget the translator's name now, but probably Dmytro or Robert will know it

gosh! Thanks for the link to the Yamaka translations. What a truly astonishing teaching! As the Pratthana - as is all the Abhidharmma, in fact!
I would be nice if PTS had brought out a translation of the complete Yamaka.
Then there would be the complete set.
Then there would be many arhats!
