Vinaya Experts In Todays World

Postby Christopherxx » Wed Jul 16, 2014 10:49 pm

Often we talk about experts in the suttas (Ajahn Thanissaro, Venerable Bodhi, Venerable Analayo, and so forth)

Are there any experts and or monasteries associated with expertise in the Vinaya?

I am personally having a very hard time with this basket of the tradition and would love to be able to receive some teachings and instruction from those with a good basis in it.

Ven. Ṭhānissaro Bhikkhu wrote The Buddhist Monastic Code, Volumes I & II which seems to suggest some familiarity with the Vinaya Piṭaka.

I am aware of Ajahn Thanissaro, was just wondering if there where any more or any institutions that kind of focused on this area of the tradition.

P.s. Love the links in the sig :)
