Once there was a very successfully businessman. He had reached a comfort life and the business was running as well as could be. One time he thought that he needs to build a beautiful house. It should be as beautiful and rich as his success and so he ordered the best architects and builders to fulfill his wish. As the building was finished, he was very proud and his family was happily looking forward to settle in. Everything was perfect, so he thought, that the house also need a perfect blessing. He decided to go to a famous monk to ask him for help.

As he met the monk he asked him to write a blessing for his house, it should be written above the main door, he will be back from a business trip next week and it should be done, so that his family can settle in. The monk agreed and so the businessman could leave contentedly.

After a week he returned to the house. As he arrived in front of the house as he read: „Grandfather will die, father will die, son will die.“, he was shocked.

Infuriate he doorstepped the monk and asked him for the explaining of this outset bless. The monk was confused and asked him, what is wrong with the bless. The businessman angry repeated the sentence: „Grandfather will die, father will die, son will die.“ The monk laughing: „What is bad in it, that is a wonderful sequence, or not?“

Reminds me of when the Buddha told a father grieving the death of a son that that is the nature of loved ones, they bring grief, and the father was shocked and outraged, but eventually understood.
