Question about evaṃ me sutaṃ

Postby Eli » Mon Nov 21, 2011 8:47 pm

evaṃ me sutaṃ ekaṃ samayaṃ …

suta is a past participle of suṇāti. How does “suta” become “sutaṃ”? Could anyone shade light on this?
Thanks.
