20. Vippayuttapaccayo

vippayuttapaccayo'ti:
(i) ruupino dhammaa aruupiina.m dhammaana.m vippayuttapaccayena paccayo.
(ii) aruupino dhammaa ruupiina.m dhammaana.m vippayuttapaccayena paccayo.
Translation:
20. Dissociation Condition (Vippayutta Paccaya)
i. Corporeal phenomena (dhammas) are related to mental phenomena by dissociation
condition.
ii. Mental phenomena are related to corporeal phenomena by dissociation
condition.
Simile:
Dissociation Condition: Vippayutta condition resembles that of the co-existent
dissociation of combining six flavours. [Han: Here, the simile given in the CMA
is more clear: This is like a mixture of water and oil, which remains separate
though placed together.]
