Sorry theY, I don't understand that question.

Do you want to write "Īsaṃphuṭṭha" using IPA? Or some particular part of the word Īsaṃphuṭṭha?

Hi TheY
What has the IPA got to do with it?
how do you understand the word?

Dear Cittasanto,

I'm sorry. I don't understand you question.

I answer by my guess:

I think IPA may make a word that refer to Īsaṃphuṭṭha.

Īsaṃphuṭṭha mean "a little bit tongues touching on their base".

It is a skill to pronounce sanskrit--saṅvuta, vivaṭṭa, phuttha, and īsaṃphuṭṭha.

Pali just has only phuttha, and īsaṃphuṭṭha (saddanītisuttamālā).

  3. phuttha= Stop.
  4. īsaṃphuṭṭha= Approximant (+Fricative).
