lokotissa (aka) loko tissa

Hello Pali fans and scholars,

I'm just beginning to work on learning Pali, and am having trouble with "lokotissa".

I'm clear on loko being from loka (world) but I'm having the darndest time finding "tissa" (except as a popular name for individuals). If anyone can provide me with a translation of lokotissa and how we arrive at it, I'd be grateful.

It is best to use a reliable source. The text on that page seems to be broken in many places. Its the Apaṇṇaka Suttaṃ not the Apaaka Sutta.

Santaṃyeva pana paraṃ lokaṃ ‘natthi paro loko’ tissa diṭṭhi hoti; sāssa hoti micchādiṭṭhi.

The apostrophe before the 'tissa tells me that the word break down is:

'Natthi para loko'ti assa

but don't take my word for it — my Pāli knowledge is very limited.
