How long does it take to learn Pali to an intermediate level?
Thanks,

About 10 years.
Just kidding.
Why not get a basic understanding of Buddhism before fantasizing about learning Pali?

I do have a basic understanding and I am up to the stage of reading suttas and studying the Tipitaka. I thought it helpful to learn pali (as I am good with learning languages) so that nothing of what I read is lost in translation.
