Pali audio glossary online?

Post by Tex »

I'm finding a lot of chants and readings in Pali, which are helpful, but what I would ideally like to track down is a dictionary with audio pronunciation of each term. I've found a couple of sites with some words pronounced, but is there anything comprehensive out there?

Thanks in advance.

Might also help with limericks.

But never soddens what is open;
Uncover, then, what is concealed,
Lest it be soddened by the rain.

Hi Tex,

I only know of recorded chants... (see below)

However, Pali is actually a lot easier to pronounce than English :smile:, since it's phonetic (though there are are variations between Thai, Sri Lankan, Burmese accents). Of course you have to know the rules:

What I think is more difficult is getting into the rhythm of the chants. I suggest practising with some of those. E.g.
