Theravada in Minneapolis

Postby cddesjar » Sun May 01, 2011 1:41 am

Hi,
I have some quick questions. I am wondering if anyone practices Theravada in Minneapolis/St. Paul and where they go? I've found a few places of interest and would like to attend http://sitagumn.org/ but it seems that it is largely for a Burmese community and it's unclear when they do meditation, talks, etc. from their website. Do you guys think I would be welcomed? Also do you think they would do their talks solely in Burmese? Does anyone have any recommendations for me? I've been studying Buddhism for a while and want to become more formal in my learning and learn more about mediation, especially Vispassana.
Thanks,
Chris

Hi Chris

Are you familiar with Buddhanet?
Here are the results for Minnesota: http://www.buddhanet.info/wbd/search.ph ... =theravada

Also, it might be worthwhile checking this one out if you have ten-days up your sleeve:
