I attended a Grand Opening of a new retreat center in California today.
Hye Wol Sunim is in front of the door and I am in the yellow t-shirt (100 degrees today in the California desert) and to my right is my wife and daughter (wearing shirt with Buddha image on it).

Sunim planting a Bodhi Tree on the grounds of the retreat center.

Hi David,
Thanks for posting these. I think I recognize the Sinhalese Korean-ordained Zen bhikshu. He (or someone who looked very like him) once spent a night here at Wat Benjama back in the late 80's. I think he's the most argumentative monk I've ever met. If you said almost any sentence containing the word "is" you'd be sure to get the Pythonesque reply, "No, it isn't!"
Best wishes,
Dhammanando Bhikkhu

Hi Bhante,
Hmm, could be, but it doesn't sound like him, at least not his disposition right now. But he did leave another temple to open this one . . .
