Drawing of the Buddha

Postby Kori » Wed Apr 13, 2011 3:08 am

I drew this picture out on paper about a week ago, then I scanned it and colored it in Photoshop. It sits on my little shrine in my room (since I can't get a statue) and I thought you might like to see it, use it as a wallpaper for your computer, or even print it out for yourself if you want it. I wasn't quite sure where to put it, so I just put it in the lounge ^_^;

"All that we are is the result of what we have thought: it is founded on our thoughts, it is made up of our thoughts. If a man speaks or acts with a pure thought, happiness follows him, like a shadow that never leaves him."

Dhammapada, Ch. 1, Verse 2.

Thanks Leah for your efforts!
I'll move it to the shrine room.
Learn this from the waters:
in mountain clefts and chasms,
loud gush the streamlets,
but great rivers flow silently.

Taṃ nadīhi vijānātha:
sobbhesu padaresu ca,
saṇantā yanti kusobbhā,
tuṇhīyanti mahodadhī.
