Visiting Na Uyana Aranya

I am hoping to visit Na Uyana Aranya this November to see whether it would be a suitable place for ordination, but I don't know the procedure to arrange this. Do I need to write a letter of request to the monastery? Is it possible to make arrangements over the phone? Any information would be appreciated.

Kind regards,

Jeff

Hello Jeff,

Writing an e mail would be the best way to do it.

Hi, does anyone know what types/traditions of meditation they practice there?

According to this site (http://www.metta.lk/temples/galduwa/index.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;), they follow the Pa-auk tradition wbich would mean the classical VisuddhiMagga methods of samatha & vipassana.
