Hi hope you find the following info useful:
I bought two zucchinis, one of which had a slightly bitter taste and the other didn't. The slightly bitter one caused gas and diarrhea twice (immediately after I ate it), but the non-bitter one was OK. I checked on internet and found out many other people had the same problem (probably due to the natural toxin cucurbitacins). The same applies to bitter cucumber.
