Time Magazine: " Can Eating Meat Ever Be Humane? The Morality of Mealtime" ( 3 pages ):

In reading the scriptures, there are two kinds of mistakes:
One mistake is to cling to the literal text and miss the inner principles.
The second mistake is to recognize the principles but not apply them to your own mind, so that you waste time and just make them into causes of entanglement.

Looks like an interesting article, Jhana4. It touches on a subject I have been giving a lot of thought to recently, esp as I am responsible for feeding up to 90 people at a time.
I'll read the article in-depth when I have a few minutes to spare.
Thanks again.

Ben

Cool.

FWIW, twice a year I donate $50 worth of legumes to a local food bank. They've told that is one of their ideal food donations.
