Good meditation centers

Post by BlueLotus »

I am Chinese currently in Sri Lanka for work and travel. I will be staying here for a while and I like the theravada tradition. If there are any Sri lanka people here, can you recommend a good theravadic meditation center for me please?

Greetings Blue Lotus,
I recommend ten-day vipassana courses in the tradition of Sayagi U Ba Khin as taught by SN Goenka.
Here is a list of centres that conduct ten-day courses in Sri Lanka in this tradition: http://www.dhamma.org/en/bycountry/ap/lk.shtml" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
kind regards,

Ben
“No lists of things to be done. The day providential to itself. The hour. There is no later. This is later. All things of grace and beauty such that one holds them to one's heart have a common provenance in pain. Their birth in grief and ashes.”

Learn this from the waters:
in mountain clefts and chasms,
loud gush the streamlets,
but great rivers flow silently.
