I presume that the name is Pali — Ven. Candavamso.

Hi Chris. The name translates as "generation(or family) of the moon.
I guess if it rains we will all get wet.

This is actually a temporary measure. There are plans to build proper kutis etc in the next couple of years.
The abbot here has got a foundation up and running, which is designed to raise money for the building of schools, clinics, play areas for children and a small fitness park and the proporgation of the dhamma. This money will also be used for the building of the meditation center.People will then be able to book into the center at anytime for either personal practice or as part of a retreat.Anyone who comes will then have food supplied to them by the temple for the length of their stay. All donation based of course.
With metta
Phra Greg

Greetings Bhante

The translation that I was given is family or generation of the moon.
Could you please let me know the translation of the Pali you have suggested.

Greetings bhante,
If you would like me to change your user ID again, please PM me.
Metta,
Retro.

If you have asked me of the origination of unease, then I shall explain it to you in accordance with my understanding:
Whatever various forms of unease there are in the world, They originate founded in encumbering accumulation. (Pārāyanavagga)'We should not congratulate someone on the success of their misdeeds, but on the contrary should endeavour to advise him or her to lead a more skilful and wholesome life. If such advice is ignored then we can only give up and let go' - Phra PanyapatipoDharma Wheel (Mahayana / Vajrayana forum)

Greetings Bhante,
May I ask why it was nessesary to re-ordain?
I hope that you aren't going to be too wet during rains, otherwise you could catch a cold or worse. Pending the kutis aren't there any decent tents there? It seems to be very out-in-the-open.

Suffering is asking from life what it can never give you.

Hi Bhante
Might the "vamso" in your name be "in the lineage of"? Similar meaning to "family".

Hi Sylvester.Yes the vamso would be translated family or generation.
So the name would translate as family of the moon or generaration of the moon.

Hi Ytrog. There are a couple of reasons for re-ordaining.First of all I was ordained in a different lineage,as I had ordained in a Burmese lineage and was changing to the Maha Nikaya lineage here in Thailand.
It was also easier due to the paper work required to get my monk passport and visa.
The kutis at the center are only temporary and when we have the money it will be more permanent. We do have tents and the umbrellas with the mozzie nets on them as well.
My kuti at the temple is a permanent(not a great word to use on a buddhist site)structure, not bamboo like the one at the center.

Thanks for sharing Bhante, I love the photos! Please don't hesitate to upload more!
How does re-ordaining affect monk seniority? Are you for all intents and purposes considered a 'new' monk?

Hi Euclid.Yes re-ordaining does affect seniority, but as I had not been ordained for long it was no great problem. The reason why you lose seniority is because,in my case I was taken back to samenera(10 precepts)then back to monk a couple of hours later.A monk would lose seniority even after dis-robing for 5 minutes.
I will try and upload a few more photos when I can,but I have to shrink them down a bit before I can upload them here and I really am a techno dummy.
With metta,
Phra Greg
