Vale Sally Gross

Postby Ben » Wed Feb 19, 2014 2:44 am

I have just learned that my dear friend and DW member, Sally Gross, passed away yesterday.

Sally Gross - Many parts to a whole

My merits I dedicate to you, my beloved friend!
“No lists of things to be done. The day providential to itself. The hour. There is no later. This is later. All things of grace and beauty such that one holds them to one's heart have a common provenance in pain. Their birth in grief and ashes.”
- Cormac McCarthy, The Road

Learn this from the waters:
in mountain clefts and chasms,
loud gush the streamlets,
but great rivers flow silently.
- Sutta Nipata 3.725

Sally was a good online friend of mine since the e-sangha days. We exchanged some PMs and emails, some in English and some in Hebrew. May she attain favorable rebirth or liberation.

Hatred is never appeased by hatred in this world; by non-hatred alone is hatred appeased. This is an eternal law.
