Bhante Vimalaramsi - new book - Breath of Love

Postby mirco » Fri Apr 13, 2012 10:41 am

This is a new book (2012). The main portion is an update of The Anapanasati Sutta (Second Edition 2006)
with added sections covering Loving-Kindness Meditation, Forgiveness Meditation and Walking Meditation.

Paperback copies should be available late March or April 2012.

"An important term for meditative absorption is samadhi. We often translate that as ‘concentration’, but that can suggest a certain stiffness. Perhaps ‘unification’ is a better rendition, as samadhi means ‘to bring together’. Deep samadhi isn't at all stiff. It’s a process of letting go of other things and coming to a unified experience."

Mirco,

I believe I bought this book last year. Is this a new edition?
To avoid all evil, to cultivate good, and to cleanse one's mind — this is the teaching of the Buddhas.

Dear Michael,

yes, it's a new edition. Compare the pdf with your 2011 copy and you'll see

:-)
