Bodhi Nite 2011: Mindfulness Dwelling in the Past, Dreaming of the Future, is the Present forgotten?
University of New South Wales (Sydney) Buddhist Society (UNIBUDS) has grown in the last 30 years and this year, we will be celebrating its 31th Birthday! And so We welcome you to our anniversary night -- Bodhi Nite 2011!
Like every year, the night of festivities will be filled with performances, singing and animations. The evening will begin with a complimentary vegetarian dinner (6pm to 7pm) and the show will begin from 7pm to 10pm. Your ticket will automatically be included in our lucky-draw too!
This year, we will explore "Dwelling in the Past, Dreaming of the Future, is the Present forgotten?", which explores the theme of Mindfulness. I believe everyone must have heard of the word mindfulness, but do we really understand it? How does mindfulness relate to our life? How can we actually practise it?
Members of UNIBUDS will put their hands together and present to you the meaning of Mindfulness through Choir, Multimedia Animation, and Sketch. Our Patrons will also guide us in understanding the theme better through short Dhamma talks during Bodhi Nite. I believe each of you would go home with a gift - the gift of Dhamma!
