Please note - a couple of changes have been made to the forum titles and descriptions in the Meditation Forum - viewforum.php?f=6
The main change is the renaming and restructuring of what was formerly the Meditation (Suttanta Method)
, with the more accurate title of Mental Cultivation in the Sutta Pitaka
. As a result of the change, a few topics have been moved out of that sub-forum and into other locations.
When creating new topics on meditation, please consider which of the new sub-forums best suits your requirements.
"Having understood name-and-form, which is a product of prolificity,
And which is the root of all malady within and without,
He is released from bondage to the root of all maladies,
That Such-like-one is truly known as 'the one who has understood'." (Snp 3.6)
"Whether I were to preach in brief, Sāriputta, or whether I were to preach in detail, Sāriputta, or whether I were to preach both in brief or in detail, Sāriputta, rare are those who understand." (A I 333, Sāriputtasutta)
