Dhamma talk download links

Post by Jechbi »

Could we share links to sites where good Dhamma talks can be downloaded for MP3 players? If there's another thread on this already, I missed it.

I like this one sometimes.

What are your favorites? :thanks:

But never soddens what is open;
Uncover, then, what is concealed,
Lest it be soddened by the rain.

Some excellent talks here from the Thai Forest Tradition

http://www.dhammatalks.org.uk/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I would recomend Ajahn Sumedho, particually the talks

"right view"
"how to use convention"
"Welcome to the Deathless of Real"
"Mindfulness, the path to the deathless"

Jechbi,

An excellent suggestion! :twothumbsup:

My favorites:
http://zencast.org/ and especially http://www.audiodharma.org/index.html. There is a great deal of duplication between them, but there are differences and the differences can be very worthwhile. Gil Fronsdal is certainly the primary speaker, but I also highly recommend any of Andrea Fella's talks as well.

Many short talks by Thanissaro Bhikkhu here, with very frequent updates:

"To reach beyond fear and danger we must sharpen and widen our vision. We have to pierce through the deceptions that lull us into a comfortable complacency, to take a straight look down into the depths of our existence, without turning away uneasily or running after distractions." -- Bhikkhu Bodhi

"No man ever steps in the same river twice, for it's not the same river and he's not the same man." -- Heraclitus

Just found this free audio of the Dhammapada: http://librivox.org/the-dhammapada-tran ... x-mueller/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

(also, off-topic, there's this if anyone's interested in Nagarjuna.)

It's already been mentioned, but by far the largest selection in one spot (that I've seen) is:
