Ven. Saddhajiva?

Post by nyanasuci »

I try to find out who Ven. Saddhajiva was. Does anybody has a clue?

He wrote the article 'Anguish—the Mark of Man' (publised at Path Press http://pathpress.wordpress.com/2010/09/ ... rk-of-man/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;) and I am archiving his transcribed copy of Notes on Dhamma - and that is basically all what I know about him.
Bhikkhu Hiriko - Ñāṇasuci

The experts do not say that one is a sage in this world because of view, or learning, or knowledge, Nanda.
I call them sages who wander without association, without affliction, without desire.

Have you contacted the Island Hermitage? It seems a lot of Ñanavirans have passed through there at some time or other.

If I remember the name correctly, I think he is a German monk who used ( or still does) to lecture in a Buddhist university in Hong Kong. He would be in his 60s now. He keeps a low profile.

pilgrim, that is good inforamation. How do you know that? Do you know how to find him out? To keep his profile low you can send me PM or email to (my name)@gmail.com.
Thankas again! :D

You can see here another article of his: http://pathpress.org/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Years ago I inquired when I saw a foreign bhikkhu in a Vihara in Malaysia and his name was mentioned to me. But like I said, this was many , many years ago, and although the name sounds very familiar, I'm not absolutely certain.

Ven.Nyanasuci : though it's long after your post, just to say I'm still around - bhikkhu Saddhajivo '72 - '73, then chose to go round again, only with pabbaja, still Saddhajivo, in Sri Lanka since '87 now Peradeniya : [email protected] also FB - Malcolm Hudson.750, but you would see from the later I am more involved nowadays with animal welfare [particularly dogs] than with study.
