The pali word for "exquisite" regarding the deathless?

Post by starter »

Hello Teachers/Friends,

What's the pali word for "exquisite" in the following teaching? And what's the exact meaning of it?

"This is peace, this is exquisite [perfect? Complete?] — the stillness of all fabrications; the relinquishment of all acquisitions; the ending of craving; dispassion; cessation [of greed/hatred.delusion]; liberation."

Many thanks! Metta,

Hi Starter,

It's 'paṇīta':

'etaṃ santaṃ etaṃ paṇītaṃ yadidaṃ sabbasaṅkhārasamatho sabbūpadhipaṭinissaggo taṇhākkhayo virāgo nirodho nibbānaṃ'
