A dedicaton...

May all of you develop Dhamma strength. May you all keep growing in Dhamma, and
help others to grow in Dhamma. May more and more people benefit from your
service.
May the wheel of Dhamma keep rotating. May the light of Dhamma spread

liberated!

“No lists of things to be done. The day providential to itself. The hour. There is no later. This is later. All things of grace and beauty such that one holds them to one's heart have a common provenance in pain. Their birth in grief and ashes.”

loud gush the streamlets,
but great rivers flow silently.

Go forth, o bhikkhus, for the good of the many, for the happiness of the many, out of compassion for the world, for the benefit, for the good, for the happiness of gods and men. Let not two go by one way. Preach the doctrine that is beautiful in its beginning, beautiful in its middle, and beautiful in its ending. Declare the holy life in its purity, completely both in the spirit and the letter.
~ Mahavagga, Vinaya Pitaka.

My favourite quote on the subject.

Wander forth, O bhikkhus, for the welfare of the multitude, for the happiness of the multitude, out of compassion for the world, for the good, welfare, and happiness of devas and humans. Let not two go the same way. Teach, O bhikkhus, the Dhamma that is good in the beginning, good in the middle, good in the end, with the right meaning and phrasing.”

It is a real compassionate deed to pay gratitude to Lord Budda who dedicated more than 24 aeons life times on behalf of human, gods, monks etc,to achieve the goal of Nirwana.

This extent period is difficult to fathom.

Lord Budda scarified His chance of achieving Nirwana on behalf us for people born 2550 yrs ahead at the time of Deepankar Budda.

It is the Great Sanga carried forward the Dhamma message first by word then in written form.

Oh,what a scarification made.(I think Jesus has done more or less same scarification)( without prejudice)

So dear Ben you have refresh our minds about Great Gratitude.May Kusala merit be bestow to you and as well as all D/W who read this thread.

Goenka Jee has done a great service to modern civilization.By helping to organized Meditation Centers all around he had create avenues for those are needy in order to spread the message of Dhamma.

So much have achieve levels of Vipassana Training from these centres. Let his wishes be fulfilled as he wish with these great merits.

Dear Jagodage ,

The below is a wonderful tribute to Goenkaji , which Lord Buddha himself declared of times yonder ............

The Buddha: Licchavis, the manifestation of five gems is rare in the world. What five? (1) The manifestation of a Tathāgata, an Arahant, a Perfectly Enlightened One is rare in the world. (2) A person who can teach the Dhamma and discipline proclaimed by a Tathāgata is rare in the world. (3) When the Dhamma and discipline proclaimed by a Tathāgata has been taught, a person who can understand it is rare in the world. (4) When the Dhamma and discipline proclaimed by a Tathāgata has been taught, a person who can understand it and practice in accordance with the Dhamma is rare in the world. (5) A grateful and thankful person is rare in the world. Licchavis, the manifestation of these five gems is rare in the world. ~~ AN 5.195 ~~
The Path of Dhamma

The path of Dhamma is no picnic . It is a strenuous march steeply up the hill . If all the comrades desert you , Walk alone ! Walk alone ! with all the Thrill !!

U S.N. Goenka
