Dear Respectful Teachers
I am a student from yangon university, specializing English in Master course.
I am making a thesis on the title " A study on the use of allegory and exemplum in Dhammapada".
I am indecisive now which of the translations to be used, in order to preserve the essence of Theravada .
Please give me some advice.

Santa,
I just began studying Pali, and that second link - the one with all the grammar and etymology laid out so well - will be such a useful resource to me, thanks for providing that!

The links provided by Cooran provide useful recommendations.
I mainly just wanted to write thank you for your thoroughness in this task... there are some translations of the Dhammapada which are not particularly faithful to the original, as well as many done from outside the Theravada tradition. The use of poor translation(s) could have jeopardised the benefit derivable from your investigations.

If you have asked me of the origination of unease, then I shall explain it to you in accordance with my understanding:
Whatever various forms of unease there are in the world, They originate founded in encumbering accumulation. (Pārāyanavagga)'We should not congratulate someone on the success of their misdeeds, but on the contrary should endeavour to advise him or her to lead a more skilful and wholesome life.
