Happy birthday Mr. Trike!

Metta,
Retro.

If you have asked me of the origination of unease, then I shall explain it to you in accordance with my understanding:
Whatever various forms of unease there are in the world, They originate founded in encumbering accumulation. (Pārāyanavagga)'We should not congratulate someone on the success of their misdeeds, but on the contrary should endeavour to advise him or her to lead a more skilful and wholesome life. If such advice is ignored then we can only give up and let go' - Phra PanyapatipoDharma Wheel (Mahayana / Vajrayana forum)

Happy Birthday Pink T...!! May this be a really good year for you...

Thanks, Davcuts.
Thanks, TheDhamma. I've been thinking about maybe getting a three-wheeler like that for a while (in pink, naturally). I'm through with my Evel Knievel two-wheeler days.

Hi Pink,
That's why I put that photo of the trike up; I was wondering if you were a fellow biker - triker. I only owned motorcycles and drove them more than cars during my single days. After getting married, my wife sold the bike and said if I wanted a motorcycle it had to be a trike. So we bought one that looks just like the one in that photo.
It had the Harley mufflers on it it and was very loud, so we sold it. The next trike we buy will probably be a yellow (partial to yellow) with the big luggage area in the back, most likely a Honda Goldwing trike -- they are very quiet.

"Trike" in my username refers to the three jewels and the three vehicles (pink refers to the union of red and blue which represents the union of wisdom and compassion - actually lavender, but too long to type all the time). Not into biker culture - I like that the energy footprint is very low, they're easy to find parking for, and in the past I've used riding a motorcycle as Chod practice - looking danger and impermanence spang in the eye with every ride (though I'm pretty much through with testing speed limits).
This is the one that catches my eye - Honda 1800 Spyder

Okay, cool. I was wrong about the meaning of trike in your username, but you actually like trikes anyway.
They look great. I also like the low carbon footprint of motorcycles and trikes. But now some of the hybrid cars can get as good of a gas mileage as our motorcycles! But it is still more fun to ride a bike over a car.

Thanks, Tex. Thanks, again everyone.
I had a great birthday. The older I get, the better they are. I was just sitting here thinking about birth - since that's what birthdays point at...and concluded that birth and life are just phenomenal, in every sense of the word. What an opportunity our lives give us.
