Prayers for Jonno and his Wife

Post by sattva »

Long-time e-sangha member and member here, jonno needs prayers and merit dedicated for his wife, Pat (and for him). She suffers from MS and has contracted pneumonia. She's in the hospital, very weak, and on oxygen to help with her breathing. She is also the love of his life and he hasn't been able to sleep for a week because of his concern for her.

Someone sent me this before my surgery. I am changing a few words without changing the thought:
Dear friend, I dedicate my merits to you and to Pat. May my metta, karuna, upekkha and mudita envelop and protect you both. May the Dhamma and all Dhamma-loving beings protect and guide you through this difficult time.
wrapping my arms around you both

Thankyou Ben and Louise for your prayers and support. I am overjoyed to report that Pat came out of hospital today and although she is extremely weak and tired is getting better. Thankyou Ben for the lines from Little Gidding .The four quartets is my favourite piece of poetry. LOVE JONNO

jonno informed me today that he is now ill and on antibiotics, as well as, trying to take care of Pat.

Prayers and metta still needed for the two of them, i think.

Sattva,

I was just about to sit down for my night's meditation and will make Jonno and Pat the objects of my metta-bhavana. Thank you again and may all beings be happy and well!
