Hi All!
Happy 2012!!!
Recently I got up a new hobby of making clay animations!
How they are made is truly simple (well most of the time);
first all you have to do is set the scene.
second, Create clay model
third, snap a picture then move the object as little or as much as you like,
four, Edit The Pictures into the program that you use ( i use windows movie maker) and set the frame rate!
here are some of my animations i made using this.
Animation Test (my first animation is a bit wonky)
The Adventures of Clayman Pt:1 (it shows the frame rate in FPS (frames per second))
Hope You enjoyed my videos!
Bye!

Nick Park and Will Vinton likely started out much the same. Keep it up. And maybe you can find a way to pester the cats while doing it.

Greetings Quinn,
How long did each take to do?
(I'm guessing you're far more patient with these things than Bennett)
Metta,
Retro.

Well it took me 2-2.5 hours on my first animation (including editing)retrofuturist wrote:Greetings Quinn,

and it took 3-3.5 hours on my other animation 2 hours editing!
and well the computer crashes after time so it was really frustrating
So it really depends on how you take the photos, if you have lower frames per second it will only take a short time to make.
My last video was 16 FPS which is why it took a long time to put together.
Im going to make another animation soon (maybe tomorrow) that will be 16 Frames Per Second but a little bit longer.
Thank you! Our cats don't sit still or sleep long enough to be in an animation!Tiltbillings wrote:Nick Park and Will Vinton likely started out much the same. Keep it up. And maybe you can find a way to pester the cats while doing it.

After a busy morning animating, time out to sculpt some bubbles!

Good stuff. With the sheep eating, it is the start of a new move: THE AUSTRALIAN BLOB. Next it needs to eat a wallaby, or even worse, a koala bear to show just how terrifying and heartless it really is.Quinn wrote:Hi All,

I can see the sequels: THE BLOB VS THE DREADED DROP BEAR and THE BLOB VS THE HORRIFYING BUNYIP.

Quinn,
Can you comment on the final statement in the movie where it shows the three arrows and in the middle it says "Circle of Life"?
