Please don't tell me what helps and doesn't help based on my experience.
Oh dear... no need to feel offended. That was not my intention.

If you don't find it helpful what I said then you don't find it helpful. I thought it might. But if not that's okay with me.

Thank you Tyler. As a good friend of mine said, "If a buddhist forum isn't the right place to talk about this, then nowhere is."
I have completed 10 days already and I am noticing a difference in my life. Whenever lust arises, I consider it as another opportunity to practice compassion and mindfulness and overcome this craving which causes suffering. It is because of people like you and the others here who gave me words of encouragement that I know that I can finish this. If my OP will help bring more awareness to this growing problem and maybe help others on this forum who may also be suffering from this problem then I think it was worth it. Take care and thanks again.
Peace,
Don

Pun intended?
Liberation is the inevitable fruit of the path and is bound to blossom forth when there is steady and persistent practice. The only requirements for reaching the final goal are two: to start and to continue. If these requirements are met there is no doubt the goal will be attained. This is the Dhamma, the undeviating law.
“No lists of things to be done. The day providential to itself. The hour. There is no later. This is later. All things of grace and beauty such that one holds them to one's heart have a common provenance in pain. Their birth in grief and ashes.”
- Cormac McCarthy, The Road
Learn this from the waters:
in mountain clefts and chasms,
loud gush the streamlets,
but great rivers flow silently.
