This is my new place and Dhamma center. A Maha Bodhi replica just got completed. It is not as big and elaborate as most Maha Bodhi replicas. It is more of an outdoor shrine / temple, similar to what many Sri Lankan temples have for their Bodhi Trees.

Blog, Suttas, Aj Chah, Facebook.
He who knows only his own side of the case knows little of that. His reasons may be good, and no one may have been able to refute them.
But if he is equally unable to refute the reasons on the opposite side, if he does not so much as know what they are, he has no ground for preferring either opinion …
...
He must be able to hear them from persons who actually believe them … he must know them in their most plausible and persuasive form.
John Stuart Mill

Thanks, Cittasanto, Chris, Ben, Sam. Yes, it is an older aerial photo of the property so the replica is not showing on that shot.Cittasanto wrote:

(edit: aerial photo in the link has been updated to a new Google Earth view which now shows the Maha Bodhi replica.)
If you look closely at one of the other photos I have of it at the link, you can see the Stratosphere Casino in the background (the Stratosphere tower).plwk wrote:I have to confess David...when I saw the thread title Maha Bodhi LV i was thinking of...

That is so cool!
Liberation is the inevitable fruit of the path and is bound to blossom forth when there is steady and persistent practice. The only requirements for reaching the final goal are two: to start and to continue. If these requirements are met there is no doubt the goal will be attained. This is the Dhamma, the undeviating law.

Anumodana Dr S! Truly impressive!
To avoid all evil, to cultivate good, and to cleanse one's mind — this is the teaching of the Buddhas.

Thanks KB, marc
I updated the photo in the OP; it now shows some of the improvements to the landscaping with desert rocks and a walking trail around it and a young fig tree to the side (the small one to the right of the Maha Bodhi replica).
