Hello To all

Postby cutest_buddhist » Mon Apr 09, 2012 9:51 pm

My name is Gabrielle. I am 20 years old, and currently residing by the beach in Virginia. I am here to discuss my love for buddhas, and learn a lot from others to help in my spiritual journey. I don't really label myself as a particular kind of buddhist. For example: Mahayana, or something like that. I asked some people on facebook, and some say I am a lot like vajrayana buddhist. I just spend a lot of time with meditation, prayers, and devotions to the many various buddhas. I do not follow any formalities, or go to a shrine. I feel like the buddhas (most of them tend to be tibetan, by the way. Examples : Green Tara, Avalokiteshvara, Amoghassidhi, Vajrasattva, etc) I get a lot of spiritual energy from the buddhas. :)

Anyway, I am trying to get better with my buddhism. Like meditate more. I just want to meet nice people, and discover myself more. I'm very friendly. You can talk to me anytime, I'm on most social networks. Talk to you soon!

Feel free to share anything, or ASK ME QUESTIONS :) I love talking.

Much Love from deep within my heart,
Gabrielle S.

Greetings Gabrielle and welcome to Dhamma Wheel.
I wish you all the very best with your efforts.
kind regards,

loud gush the streamlets,
but great rivers flow silently.

Welcome Gabrielle!

The heart of the path is SO simple. No need for long explanations. Give up clinging to love and hate, just rest with things as they are. That is all I do in my own practice. Do not try to become anything. Do not make yourself into anything. Do not be a meditator. Do not become enlightened. When you sit, let it be. When you walk, let it be. Grasp at nothing. Resist nothing. Of course, there are dozens of meditation techniques to develop samadhi and many kinds of vipassana. But it all comes back to this - just let it all be. Step over here where it is cool, out of the battle. - Ajahn Chah

Welcome Gabrielle! May you enjoy every success.
To avoid all evil, to cultivate good, and to cleanse one's mind — this is the teaching of the Buddhas.
