No doubt you'll get it cheaper from Book Depository closer to the release date.

Just ordered a copy. I already have the PTS version and refer to it and study it frequently. By far the best Nikaya, in my opinion. The last of the four primary Nikayas to be translated by Bhikkhu Bodhi, he has saved the best for last.
Last? And what about Digha?

Maurice Walshe translated the Digha.

This being is bound to samsara, kamma is his means for going beyond. -- SN I, 38.

Woops, I'm sorry for my false information, I still have to read that nikaya.

There are some suttas from Digha by Bodhi (like Mahanidana) - and in my opinion they are better than Walshe's.

Blog, Suttas, Aj Chah, Facebook.

He who knows only his own side of the case knows little of that. His reasons may be good, and no one may have been able to refute them.
But if he is equally unable to refute the reasons on the opposite side, if he does not so much as know what they are, he has no ground for preferring either opinion …
...
He must be able to hear them from persons who actually believe them … he must know them in their most plausible and persuasive form.

Correct, as you and Tilt noted Maurice Walshe translated the Digha for Wisdom Publications. They all have that nice looking "Teachings of the Buddha" series design on all of the updated translations that I thought for a moment that Bhikkhu Bodhi translated that one too. That similar cover design and perhaps that I don't refer back to it as much as the other Nikayas, that I forgot who translated it.

Wonderful news! And you can download a 135 page pdf digital preview after ordering!

Anyone know if a Kindle version will be available in September? All those footnotes make the electronic version nice to have.

A friend of mine just got this reply from Wisdom regarding the Kindle version...
Ebook version of Anguttara Nikaya will probably be available in November/December.
I'm tempted to start a letter writing campaign to encourage them to make the cross references in the notes and all citations hyper linked.

I see bookdepository.co.uk have an extra 10% discount this week, I wonder if it will work against the pre-order of the Anguttara.

Which others of Ven. Bodhi's book(s) would anyone recommend as a first or essential purchase?

If you've not yet got the Majjhima & Samyutta Nikaya, they're worth getting.

Retro. :)
