Greetings...
I noticed some pretty nifty (and apropos) smilies on a visit to ZFI...what's chances of the Dhammawheel using them as well?...
One more 'suggestion' might be to dump the little one's presently used here... ...

Re: Smilies...
Greetings bhante,
If there's any specific ones you want, let us know... perhaps with a copy of the URL of the smilies in question.
I'm sure there's some we could lose though... particularly some that rarely get used.

They're actually my favourite ones! I like the ones that don't look too disruptive in a string of text and don't send the row heights out of whack as hopefully demonstrated by this smilie here . I do enjoy consistency in row height.appicchato wrote:One more 'suggestion' might be to dump the little one's presently used here... ...

Great idea, Bhante. I like all the emoticons over at ZFI.
I'd also like to keep all the little ones that don't get used too often (just for kicks), and I'd love it if we could add these:

Re: Smilies...
Greetings,
I should also mention that the more smilies we add, the further you'll have to scroll down to get to the Submit button each time.
There's no "view more smilies" style button, which can be used to browse the rest of the collection... as it stands, they're all there, every single time. Something to bear in mind as you pull the scroller down to the Submit button.
Metta,
Retro.

Re: Smilies...
There's a boatload of smilies at my site. Dhamma Wheel members, please feel free to take any from there you like to suggest for use here.
I've kept them all basically uniform in size

If I had my way, the smilies would be the first against the wall when the revolution comes!

Re: Smilies...
Are these guys breaking the 5th precept or is it carrot juice and whipped cream?
Four types of letting go:
1) Giving; expecting nothing back in return
2) Throwing things away
3) Contentment; wanting to be here, not wanting to be anywhere else
4) "Teflon Mind"; having a mind which doesn't accumulate things

They are just thumping each other with electric toasters. It's not a very sensible thing to do, but nor is it a breach of the fifth precept.
