Hi Buddha

See the following short chapter entitled Structuring Your Meditation from Bhante G's Mindfulness In Plain English :

:anjali:
It’s only meditation when there are two minds:
Knowing-noting mind and observing mind.
If there is only one mind, ‘I’ is always there.
The object is not the dhamma,
The dhamma is the mind
That is being aware.

Ideally, just One session, from the moment you awaken in the morning to the moment you fall asleep at night.

Make every moment apart of meditation, you don't need to be sitting, however you do need to be mindful, apply effort, and upholding right view!
this is bhavana! particularly the sections in the satipatthana sutta of clear knowing, four postures, and mindfulness of breathing. however, the full sections of feelings, mind, and dhamma are also applicable and practicable.
use sitting meditation to refresh, a mental spring clean and focus on eliminating the hindrences that have been predominant that day by cultivating skilful mind-states.
“Mendicants, these two [types of persons] defame the Tathāgata.
(The mendicants asked) What are the two [types of persons]?
(The Lord Buddha responded) The malicious, or the inwardly angry, and the one with (blind) faith or the one who holds things incorrectly.
Mendicants, these two [types of persons] defame the Tathāgata.”
Blog, Suttas, Aj Chah, Facebook.
"Others will misconstrue reality based on personal perspectives, firmly holding onto and not easily discarding them; We shall not misconstrue reality due to our personal perspectives, nor firmly holding them, but easily discarded."
