After Googling ""summary of the four noble truths" and following the first link: (don't open it!) "www.serve.com/cmtan/buddhism/fournt.html" my antivirus detected a virus.

Thanks for the warning! The person who created that website obviously doesn't understand that he is creating a great deal of bad kamma for himself.
Four types of letting go:
1) Giving; expecting nothing back in return
2) Throwing things away
3) Contentment; wanting to be here, not wanting to be anywhere else
4) "Teflon Mind"; having a mind which doesn't accumulate things

It may not be intentional.
What is the use of his knowledge
pertaining to the number of insects in the whole world?
Rather, inquire into his knowledge of
that which is to be practised by us
-- Dharmakirti
This being is bound to samsara, kamma is his means for going beyond.

Opera gave me a warning before opening the site:
- Code: Select all
Haute Secure has inspected this site and have found issues which pose a security risk to you. To stay out of harm's way, don't visit this site.
But on my PC it would be harmless. I'm using Linux.

With best wishes
Only in a vertical view, straight down into the abyss of his own personal existence, is a man capable of apprehending the perilous insecurity of his situation; and only a man who does apprehend this is prepared to listen to the Buddha's Teaching.
